Field trip is one of the most memorable moment for me as a college student. For this was the time I have experienced many things. It was totally my first (and maybe my last “hope not :(” ) to travel in Bohol and Cebu.
Oct 19, 2010. We were all excited that day. We departed at exactly 12 noon in Kabacan and arrived at the Cagayan Port at 6:30 in the evening. We travel from Cagayan to Bohol.
Bohol is a little island paradise in the southern Philippines. The most notable among the tourist attractions in Bohol is Chocolate Hills. In Bohol we experienced a lot. Our tour guide was very jolly; he cracked some jokes that made us all laugh 🙂 . On our way to our destination he introduced us some old churches, the location where the Sandugo happened and also their delicacy. We also experienced the floating restaurant in Loboc River, the amazing man-made forest and we also visited the smallest primate in the world, the Tarsier.
A trip to Bohol will be incomplete if we won’t at least catch a glimpse of the Chocolate Hills. The more than one thousand uniformly shaped hills dazzle, we only see those on photos, but we also give jaw-dropping amazement when we have actually seen them as we go on our tour. They are indeed a natural wonder no one should miss seeing. This still stands as the highlight to any visit to the island province.
After Visiting Bohol our next destination was Cebu. Based on the history, Cebu was originally called sugbo. The Spanish troops headed by Ferdinand Magellan arrived Cebu in 1521 with a friendly reception from the island villagers. He made friends with Rajah Humabon and converted most of the locals to Christians including the leader’s family.
When we finally arrived at Cebu City. We can’t express our joys upon seeing the amazing Cebu City not just in history but also in reality. We took some photos in every spot wherever we went. We checked in at crown regency hotel.
We also have our tour on different firms and big companies there like; Lexmark, Innodata, Smart Communication, Timex, Cebu Mitsumi, Philippine National Airport and we also go to the other tourist spots like Mactan, Magellan’s Cross, KartZone and Philippine Taoist Temple Inc.
We were all happy and Blessed because we have this kind of tour in our course. It was a big help for us to be exposed from those firms for us to know the outside world.
For all the Guidance and protection we thank our almighty God. And for the entire faculty who also guided us during our trip especially to our teacher Mrs. Erlmarie P. Crase who had a hard time to handle all of us, thank you maam. The trip was successfully ended.
